Hide and seek......or....missing ram junk

Chandler.....one of my rams out of Sheltering Pines Ceylon x Shltg Pines Bug,  has been a favorite since the day he popped out into the world.  Great confirmation, lovely temperament and amazing fleece.  From day one, he's been THE farm greeter and the one that everyone gravitates towards due to his friendly and sweet nature.  For 3 weeks, Garrett thought he's be taking him home with him once he was weaned.  Until............(cue dramatic music)......his left nut disappeared.   After 3 weeks of twice daily "package" checks by yours truly, I finally had to admit it had gone north permanently.  (He seemed to be enjoying it)
Chandler was never going to be a freezer ram, he must have known from day one that his future would be in peril if he didn't suck up to us, so he simply........sucked up to us every chance he got and we fell for it, hook, line and sinker.  I said to my hubby about 6 weeks ago, "Can you look at this face (Chandler was sitting his chin on me) and drive him to the processor?" Mike shook his head, looked me right in the eye and said, "No, I can't".  So, there you have it, Chandler either goes to a new fiber/pet home or he never leaves OK Acres.
I posted his cute little face on here in an attempt to find him a new home and in less than 30 minutes, Erin sent me an email and said that her family would love to have him.
The appointment to go on a search and find for his missing "package parts" was made, and yesterday I loaded  him up and got to watch the entire procedure at my vet's office.  Turns out that Chandler may have had parts go into hiding, but not due to it's reduced size, which really helped in locating it once Dr. Lisa got in there to look.
The surgery went well.....I paid the vet, loaded up Chandler in a straw filled, cushy trailer and got him home to his hospital pen at our house where he is up, eating and acting like nothing happened at all.  Annnnddd, he still loves us!
Hey mom, got any more of those pumpkins or apples that I love so much???

I can't wait to meet my new family!

  1. Lucky, lucky Chandler! Is there any better life than being a fiber pet?

He who angers you, controls you.

And my favorite.......You can't control what others say or do, but you can control your reaction.
